Marisah’s interest lies in the intersection of lifestyle factors and human biochemistry. (e.g. nutrition and endocrinology).

She earned her B.S. in Applied Nutrition with minor in Food Science from North Carolina State University.

During her years at NC State, she studied under mentors: Dr. Wei-Chen Chang (in the Chang Lab), Dr. Gabriel K. Harris (in the Harris Lab), and Dr. Suzanne L. Goodell (for her Senior Capstone Project).

In New York City, she has conducted mixed-methods nutrition research in diverse urban populations with Cornell University under Dr. Tashara M. Leak.

Marisah is interested in human longevity science, epigenetics, and endocrinology. She is a developing research scientist, future physician and farmer.
